Depending on the charges, this add-on feature to the existing Retirement Account with its large selection of funds might prove quite attractive to those who don't need the other options available in SIPPs.It accepts protected rights and pays bank base rate on cash.

Drawdown was the only thing missing on the retirement account. It now effectively turns it into a proper fund supermarket pension like the Selestia one.
It is expected that SW will withdraw the PPP at some point followed by the stakeholder after NPSS comes in and this will be their primary retirement product (no different from what many others have unofficially suggested).
The SW version is quite attractive for larger amounts as it's charges can be cheaper than HL and other SIPPs that are often mentioned here.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
