Help with CV

Hello,

Could anybody point me in the right direction for a good website to help me with my CV? I badly need to update it, but it's not very good anyway and I could do with some help with it's content.

Any help would be great, thanks
 Thank you for helping me save money!

    Hi Sarzzie

Having looked at the link posted by Zazen, I would definitely NOT use that as a CV layout (sorry Zazen!). It appears to be a standardised CV aimed at students/recent graduates who wish to work in Europe for a period of time.

I would however be quite happy to design a CV for you. I assure you I am trustworthy, and you could always omit your personal details from any info you send me!
I have already done some CVs in response to similar posts to yours for a few people on these forums.

I am a Graphic Designer and my very first job involved setting people's CVs. Many of these people had a poor grasp of the English language [well I did work in a crappy printers!] and I used to alter the wording to make their CVs appear more confident and coherent and give the candidate a better chance of getting an interview!

In order to get myself a better job [as I was so badly paid] I used to go into bookshops at lunch time and read all the "how to write a good CV" type books. It paid off for me and for a number of my friends whose CVs I later designed. I am pretty literate with a good grasp of grammar and punctuation. Being a designer I also have a keen eye for detail so the CV will look nice and be typo-free!

So, if you would like me to cast my eye over yours and put together a draft in Word or on PDF, simply PM me. And the same goes for anyone else who would like help!

    Best of luck

    Briona

I used it on Sunday for my OH [omitting the european logo etc] and he got an interview the next day [he applied online on Sunday night].

But the offer of free help is always good...
