Magazine subcription to send to Spain?

Hello,

Just wondered if anyone has paid for a magazine subscription to send magazines to Spain. My sister in law has recently moved out there and I've promised her a magazine subscription for her birthday (Woman and Home) and the only one I've found is with: http://every-magazine.com/woman-and-home-gbp.htm. I've never used them before and they are charging over £54  to send it.

Has anyone used them, or anybody else?

Thanks,
Ww

Is subcribing to the mag yourself, then you can post them on to your sister, an option.

I'm going to look into how much it would cost to send it out there by airmail as an option - but I'd rather it went straight to her really (I'm currently in the process of relocating and life's fairly complicated as it is).

Anybody used / know of a company that do this?

    Thanks,

  • Hi

George Williams here from every-magazine.com - just like to add a few comments that might help.

The magazine business can be very complicated with multiple layers of distributors, wholesalers and retailers, so its common to see huge priice differences for exactly the same thing. In the case of Woman & Home one supplier is currently charging £84 to Spain.

Our price (£54.47) is direct from the publisher and represents the UK subscription (£24.99) plus about £2.50 per issue (12/yr) for airmail and handling - which is about industry standard with their bulk discounts. I guess what I'm saying is you're unlikely to find a better deal or be able to do it more cheaply yourself. Incidentlly, buying 12 issues in UK shops would cost £41.

You may be wondering what we get out of this. Well, some publishers pay us a small commission for directing business their way. This helps us fund our site - just - in order to offer many niche magazines from around the world - many too small to offer commissions - everyone wins.

The one thing I must stress is that regardless of whether a commission is available or not we always offer the lowest price to our visitors - no exceptions - and we update frequewntly because things are always changing.

    hope this helps

    kind regards

    George
