Moorcroft - making full and final payment of old debt

Gulp. I was just reading the thread in the hope they are nice guys, as Ive just got a letter about intended litigation
Most people, who have had the misfortune to have had to deal with these bullies have had that, or a similar, letter from them. Don't worry too much - they are totally incapable of normal, calm communication.
If you are worried about dealing with them directly - have a word with one of the debt counselling charities, such as CAB, CCCS or National Debtline, and ask them to communicate with Moorcroft on your behalf.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

DFW Nerd # 166 PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTS0 -
My apologies for dragging this clearly old thread up but was looking for anything on line that would help me.
This weekend, I have received a letter from Moorcroft - which is one of their usual, confusing letters - saying '75% discount' etc on a full and final settlement. Further down the letter, it then says they are actually offering 25% off - erm, is it me or them who have got confused? - and that 'our client' is offering this before more serious action is necessary.
Now, my question is this:
With help from another forum last year, I CCAd them. They replied very quickly saying they couldn't provide one, and they understood that they could not enforce the debt through a court without it. I have the letter, filed away. Soon after their 'client' also responded saying they didn't have a CCA. They continued sending threatening letters, including what it would cost in court fees if they proceeded. At no stage, as I am led to understand from that other forum, have they returned this debt back to the creditor/client as I was led to believe they had to if they couldn't supply a CCA. I understand that without one they aren't legally entitled to chase me for payments. Now, I receive this letter from them and would like advice how to proceed. I am aware that Moorcroft just ignores every legislation there is it seems and, like I said, they haven't closed the file and returned it to the creditor in the absence of a CCA.
Should I reply to this letter, stating as they haven't supplied a CCA or just ignore it? I am aware that Moorcroft does make these threats but they have been silent for a long while and suddenly are back again with their damn letters.
If anyone has any advice here? Do I need to reply to this or just treat like the rest of their letters I have received following their own admittance no CCA exists? Or, like I suspect, will it simply get passed to another DCA when they cannot get anywhere with them?Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.

IMHO, do not dedicate anymore time with these muppets.
Report them to TS / FOS / OFT being in breach of guidelines they've signed up to.
I cannot say to much on here as this forum is viewed by those from the otherside  you have nothing to lose by reporting them, just the time in doing it.
However, whatever you deide, good luckClick here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
