Have just phoned my vet as my two cats need vaccinating.
There is an amnesty for March.
If your cat is over 18 months old and hasn't been vaccinated for 18 months you can go to -
https://www.vaccinationmonth.co.uk
Fill in a few questions and print off the voucher to present at a participating vets and get one out of the two vaccines free of charge!
Has saved me £40 for two cats!!

Thankyou.
A couple of questions. When I print the voucher off, it prints the first few lines fine, when it gets to breed, it prints half of that line and wont print any more. My printer is printing everything else fine, and I have had more than one attempt. Each time it just prints up to the same point. Will it still be valid?
My other question is, its not completely free is it? How much will it cost for one of the vaccines?0 -
The fee depends on how much the participating vet charges
Mine are usually £20 per vaccine per cat, so I save £40
I printed off my two vouchers, one in each cat's name, with no problems at all
Try downloading the pdf file and then print it from there
I normally had my cats vaccinated every year but they got missed last year as I was ill

Wish i'd had this, my cat had his about 3 weeks ago and it cost me £40 for one vaccine. Gone up £10 since last year :mad:0

This sounds absolutely brilliant - thank you. When I click on the 'Find a Vet in my area' thing, I cannot find ANY in England, NI, Scotland or Wales that are participating?? How you do find which vets are taking part?0

Worked fine for me... unfortunately my two just got their boosters on Friday past, DOH!0

I have looked into this and it would still cost me £31.11 to get my cat vaccinated. You get a free health check and primary course vaccination for the cost of a single booster. Plus you are restricted on what vets to use.0

This should be valid on dogs too and in some cases rabbits.
It's worth bearing in mind each vet will have their own slightly different terms & conditions - I know Companion Care vets are all doing it, for example, but not all vets in the country are.
For most of them you don't actually have to fill in the form, just phone up your vet and ask if they are doing the amnesty, then make an appointment and take them along. It's worth ringing up to check if your vet isn't on the list either!
Source: I work for a company which serves vets all over the country!I don't believe and I never did that two wrongs make a right0 -
My vets told me about this when I phoned to make an appointment!
