Bit OT but when I was in the army a new barmaid in the Royal signals bar thought Baileys was served in half pints at 1DM which was about 35p at the time :) Bar manager was not chuffed

i can imagine lol ... but you can understand why im always looking for a cheaper verison as the only way i can get it is if i ask someone to get it as a prezzy for me... i have a nettos near me do you think they might do something like it? x
    :)Still searching .....:)
  • Why not just ask in the local if you can buy a couple of measures and then transfer it into a suitable container to carry it home. I'm sure if you explain it's for cooking there wouldn't be a problem.

  • Hi

I really facied a glass of baileys last night, but cant afford the real thing so i was wondering if anyone can recommend one of the cheaper ones that are around or knows of a good recipe that i could make?

If tried searching on here but had no luck - any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.:j
  • i got a bottle from asda last night £3.97 and it's called Irish Knights(or something very similar)

have also tried Golden Pastures - usually got that from Netto and it's around £4

Irish Meadow is also nice - think you can get that in Tesco, again about £4

i much prefer the cheaper ones as i think they taste more creamy than whiskey-ish and it saves me money :)
