Prima cake recipe

Thought I'd try and save some of the bakers on here a bit of money.
In the April issue there is an Almost Battenburg recipe - don't make it, it's disgustingly sweet _pale_ _pale_ _pale_
Seriously, I have a very sweet tooth, but this is practically inedible!
I put 2oz less sugar in the cake than it said and the amount of marzipan buttercream is wasteful as there's far too much (and you really wouldn't want it on another cake  )
Nice idea, but I'll stick to the real deal from now on.......

Is this a new Prima mag?0

Yep, the April issue.
I've even put extra lemon juice and grated lemon rind in the marzipan butter cream to try an offset the sweetness, but this is seriously sickly. (from someone who could happily eat one Mr Kiplings french fancies after another).
