please someone help us out here, in September we had a delivery of 2 settees from grattans, we tried one of them in the room and it never suited so i stored them in the garage where they are still to this day, we contacted them the same day to arrange a collection. every week we have phoned and get the same answers that they have got onto them to collect and every operater says they will chase it up we have had people phoning us up saying they have sorted it out and the courier will contact us which has not happened.
today my wife phoned them again had the same answer and asked to speak to a manger or someone in higher authority, she said cannot do this and my wife asked her full name and she said she cannot give this as well.
6 months has past so what can i do i need the space back in my garage.
is this the right place to post it?
thax in advance.

This happened to us with Littlewoods,we had several pieces of bedroom furniture delivered which were all badly bashed. We got the same response as you did.We even threatened to put them outside and were told in that case you will have to pay for them as we want them back in good condition. It took them almost nine months to pick them up.Of the five pieces the man only had two on his list to be collected, fortunatly he had an almost empty van and agreed to take the other three.
To add insult to injury we were charged for the other three pieces as they had not been recieved back they said.Even though I had the signed returns note it took them another three months to trace them and agree I had returned them.I just don't order large items from theses places anymore.0 -
Invoice them for the storage costs, include a photo of the settees stapled to the invoice.
Don't phone, always write.
Incidentally, did you actually order them?0 -
