Marching Band / Bell Lyre Music!

Hello!! :hello:

I don't post on here very much, but I can often be seen lurking in the shadows ;)

I've come out of hiding to see if one (or two, or three...!!) of you lovely people would be able to helpo me :D

I used to play a bell lyre in a marching band when I was a kid, and without meaning to be big headed - I was brilliant! So when a friend of mine said he was setting up a marching band and would I mind teaching people - I jumped at the chance! :j

I hadn't even touched one of the things in over 10 years until last week, when I pickd one up to have a go on for a couple of weeks before lessons commence. A little naively (sp) I thought it would all come flooding back to me, but I can't seem to remember much at all

(this is where you all come in!):o

I can remember the basics like When the saints, yellow submarine, great escape, and eye level, but I really cannot get any more information out of my piddly little brain
Not even song names!!

I know I'm clutching at straws here a little, but has any body got any music stored away somewhere either written down or in their head that they can share with me? Please?! :o

It doens't need to be sheet music, as I'm writing anything that comes to me down in block notes (eg BCD, BABG, GBBAGE, EBBA - some of you may recognise as Yellow Submarine!)

I've searched high and low on the internet, and what I've found either isn't the stuff I'm after, of you've got to pay a small fortune for it (or both!) If it was something I was committing to for the long term then I wouldn't mind paying for a load of music, but to help out I'm already going to be travelling 50 miles each way :A

By The Way :o A Bell Lyre is like a glockenspiel, but larger, and you sort of wear in on a holster over your shoulder, and hold it up right in front of you as you march along. :rotfl: Web link here http://www.music.vt.edu/musicdictionary/textb/Belllyre.html

Anyway, I really really would appreciate any information, hints, or advice that people could offer me. In return, I promise to be a little more 'active' on the forums, and also contributing more to other people's posts (if I have anything worth contributing lol :p )

Also, if anybody in the Northampton area is interested in joining then PM me!

Thank you all in advance!!
