Should I feel bad?

  • Hi!
You feel proud of yourself for your proactive approach to the challenges you're facing at the moment. And about the bingo, I did it and won £120. I told everyone I knew about it and they all laughed their heads off and I got a proper slagging for playing it. Two weeks later these same friends were telling me how much they had made and thanked me for letting them in on it!!!!!!! And I'm not a mother, but if I was I'd be proud if my son/daughter was smart enough to get money back on the shopping they did. You shouldn't give youself a hard time ;) x (I'm so new to this posting I can't find the smilie button!!!!)

  • Ha! The smilie appeared like magic! x
  • It's better in your pocket than theirs, that's what I always say!! Go for it DFM and you can see your mum enjoying her mother's day present with a few more quick in your bank.

If things are tight tho, couldn't you make her something or put a made up voucher in her card, saying, something that you can do for her which she normally does herself, but doesn't like/can't do - example, take her shopping, wash her car, do her ironing, clean her kitchen etc. I know that I would love it if my kids said to me that instead of buying me a mother's day present
they were going to clean my kitchen cupboards out, I would be over the moon.

Anyway, just a thought, but really don't feel bad about saving a few pounds - good luck and hugs to you :grouphug:
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:

Using Quidco etc is as someone said just common sense, with regards to the OCD see if you can get refered for some cognitive therapy, my friends girlfriend suffered with OCD, he finally managed to persuade her to admit she had a problem and to get some help her doctor refered her to a cognitive therapist and she is pretty much ok now, and is a , completly different person. She was shy and retiring and is now outgoing and fun. you sound like you are already half way there with regards to your self help, maybe you now just need that extra bit of proffesional help to get you back on track.

    Good luck
  • Thankyou all so much for your encouragement and positive thoughts. It's just what I need
