I have just received a letter from a debt collection agency this morning about a catalogue debt of £321 - I do owe this money but I am really struggling financially to pay it. I am on disability allowance at the moment. I want to contact them before they start adding on additional charges.
How can I go about contacting them and arranging to pay say for example £10 a month until it is clear.
Your advice would be much appreciated. Thank you

Hi Tinacee1,
You need to offer an amount that you can afford to pay; this will be based on your Income and expenditure. So basically write down everything that you have got coming in and everything that is going out I.e. rent, food, utilities etc the amount you have left over is the amount to offer.
