Can you be sure that this house you haven't found is going to be somewhere you want to live for the next 10 years and would you be happy to be limited for choice if you move on within that time. The product may be portable, but can you be confident that Accord will have competitive rates available should you want to increase your borrowing should you want to buy at a higher price?

You can complete an "Agreement In Principle" on assumed figures, but you would not be able to book a Fixed Rate on a fictional property, as you don't know what price you will end up with. As a lot of the time, the application is based on purchase price against deposit, type of property, area and saleability, then it may not be condusive to apply beforehand anyway.

Accord Mortgages are the Intermediary arm of the Yorkshire Building Society. Therefore, you would have to apply via a Broker anyway, so take their advice on the bigger picture.

sounds like you have done alot of research and know your stuff, so i'd be interested as to why you think prices are going to stay flat?
