Cold meat shepherds pie
I have a clamp on mincer for my cold and fresh meat, but often out of laziness I just give it a wizz in the food processer. Chopped is fine too.
I also cook up a chopped carrot and onion to add to it.
Mix with gravy ( not too much)
Add mash on top and cook for about 25 minutes.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........

Can I freeze it like normal bread? And what else can I do with it, apart from serving it with soup? It's far too large for one person!
Good Food mag used it toasted as a pizza style baseLooked yum!

Empty Purse,
I wouldn't cook the smoked salmon....chop some and use with a dollop of cream cheese and garlic ( use some of the cream) as a pasta sauce...it will keep for ages as it is anyway and would make a lovely lunch sandwich with some of the camembert.
Good luck...

Wow! I can't believe I made such a good supper from leftovers. Shepherds Pie with roast lamb minced up in my mini chopper/blender - the one that sat in its box unused for months! I'm so proud of myself and really enjoying the OS lifestyle. And there's at least three portions left over to freeze for later. Thank you everyone for giving me so many ideas to get started - I'll be using plenty more of them over the next few days :-)0
