    Just thought i would let you know about the photo and why the care home as asked for it. if you get the job you will then recieve an identity badge with your photo on it and your position that is all nothing eles to worry about i had to have one done.

    The app is to show that you actually care about and want the job. It's easy to run a mail merge and send off your CV to loads of jobs that you might not be that interested in, whereas if you've sat down and spent half an hour filling in an application you're more likely to actually want the job (and less likely to be applying for loads of others). It also means employers can find out the information they want to ask you, whereas with CVs they get what you want to tell them!

    Yes, absolutely understandable for an employee but to ask an applicant for it is not necessary.

    Normally employers use photographs they take on the premises for photo ID, not something which was presented on an application form.

    What do they do if staff stay for ten years or so and no longer look the same?
