    It would be interesting to see how they would satisfy the money laundering requirements. The electronic method would fail as it only recognises UK addresses. That would mean supplying passport/driving licence which must be in original form. That would mean trusting the overseas post with your passport or jumping on easyjet (the latter would actually satisfy MiFID rules).

    Nah, you just have to front up at your local embassy and get a certified passport copy (rather a lot pricier than getting one from your local solicitor, I fear...someone's got to pay for all thoe diplomatic receptions....)
    Trying to keep it simple...;)
