NTL charges

Yes, its true that NTL charge 5p connection but in the small print at the bottom of their tariff it states that this does not apply to Talk Unlimited plans and local weekend calls on 3-2-1 standard rate. So I will continue to use NTL for weekend calls and 1899 for all others.

That's right - it depends which tarriff you're on with NTL. On the one I'm on (not sure what it's called) there is no connection charge to other NTL users at evenings and weekends.
So in my case the 3p connection charge with 1988 has to be taken into account.0 -
Can I just suggest that users post their questions on the Telephone Boards where the correct answers will be forthcoming

As regards the "glitch" for signing up to 1899, this is not a glitch and it has not been resolved. Some users will find they get an email to say that 1899 capacity is full and to try and register another day.
If you get this email then sign up using a mobile number and once you get the email confirming your account you can then add your landline number.0
