Should I print off coupons in colour?

Options
I have started to use moc with my shopping and have been searching the net for printable coupons. I've found quite a few but am worried that they will look 'photocopied' if I present them in b&w. I only have a b&w printer and wondered if it was worth getting a cheap as chips colour printer just for coupons?

well my local wont take any coupons printed on normal paper as they say they could be photocopied!, the fact that the companies email you a "print as many as you like" coupon does not seem to matter.

I have trialled home printed ones, and have never used B+W always colour.

When they started rejecting printed ones on normal paper I decided to print the same ones out on cheap HP photo paper which is like thin card and is semi gloss. I can get 50 sheets for £6.

I printed all the same ones on this paper and have never had one rejected, its important that the back of the paper does not have epson or HP written on it though ;)

I only have to print 2 daily mails or 6 of the current uncut £1s on one sheet and ive recouped the cost of the paper. The ink costs are covered really quickly as I have had a 100% success rate since using the thicker paper.

I presume you are talking about the Daily Mail Book Coupon? If so, what size do you print them off at? I printed mine a very similar size to the ones in the paper, but they just wouldn't scan......

So cheaper to get better glossy paper than a colour printer then! Makes sense really. Thanks - will give that a go as I think I've got some in anyway.

Yes you can get photo paper from tescos and of course with MOCs, I have found that most epson papers have epson on the back.

As I said the paper I use is a very basic semi gloss photo paper, just thicker than paper. I buy it from an independant stationers in my local town, currently on bogof, 25 sheets for 5.99.

As for the DMs, I use paint shop pro and the print layout function which allows you to place the images on a page and resize each of them.

I put 4 on and resize each to not quite a quarter page. Of all the ones ive printed Ive never had a problem with them not scanning. I put this down to the paper and putting the printer preferences on best.
  • Yes Yes Yes.

I got accused of photocopying and get marched out the store by security.

I kept a low profile from that store for 4 months...now i only go disquised!!

    How do you do this?

I have Paint Shop Pro, but cant seem to figure how to put pics on a page. Could you tell me the procedure?
