Have you tried National Express's funfare deal which can be as low as £2 return, depending where you're going from and to? Sorry I don't know how to shorten the URL link (maybe someone could point me in the right direction) but its on https://www.nationalexpress.com/save/funfares.cfm0

Thanks to all above. I had already got quotes for Maidstone to Southampton via Victoria at £31.40. Now having read this thread my ticket reduced to £25.04. Brilliant! :T0
