should i be in a lower band ?

i looked through martins document on lowering your council tax, if you are in the wrong band. after finding my property via the postcode i found that most are in band C (including me), but one is in band B. as far as i know all the properties in this postcode are 2 bed maisonettes.

i also checked the value of the last property sold (165k) and this is equivalent to 49k in 1991. which is band B!

So now i'm unsure whether to go any further?? I would really welcome any advice from anyone whos had their band reduced. I think if theres any chance it will be a success then its worth doing as council tax is extortionate!

Given that you are in band C with everyone else and only one property within your Postcode is in band B, one has to assume that the person in band B is either in a different property or simply fortunate. So either way, you need do nothing as any action on your part is only likely to see person in band B being moved up to band C. :)
