ans - 1. River Tyburn
2. Thorney Island
anyone agree - thanks Etch for confirmation
found
"Thorney Island was the eyot on the Thames, upstream of mediæval London, where Westminster Abbey and the Palace of Westminster (commonly known today as the Houses of Parliament) were built. It was formed by rivulets of the River Tyburn, which entered the Thames near the lowest point where it could be forded from the north bank at low tide."

I was amazed to see it there so early, Etch. Plus there has been a series about the hidden river of London on a fishing programme on one of the Sky channels.
Sorry peeps I forgot to say you enter between Sunday and Wednesday - not Saturday night. Perhaps that's why you couldn't enter last night."Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm Welsh" Cerys Matthews0 -

I only looked after the France v England rugby match had finished, about 21:50, and thought I was in with a chance of being the first to post! I don't look on this forum until I have solved it myself.Plus there has been a series about the hidden river of London on a fishing programme on one of the Sky channels.
I checked the details in "The Lost Rivers of London", a book that I got from the History Book Club many years ago.0
