I hope I'm right ( I'm sure someone will tell me otherwise if I'm not !)
But this seems like a good deal for this lap top £299.99.

I'm not sure if it is a good price or not.
What i do know is that you can't find out the delivery charge until you've put in your payment details...... something which i'm not willing to do.
I really don't like it when these retailers 'hide' their delivery charges.
Maybe someone here with some tech knowledge would know if the prduct price is good, or someone who has ordered from this retailer can comment on delivery charges, and after sales service?0 -
It is free delivery0

You would think they would highlight that when ordering.
The only thing i saw was that the p&p charges is dependant on your address and would be calculated through the checkout stage.
So we've ticked the delivery box..... but now can someone tell us if the product price is any good?0 -
I dont like that it doesnt show the model number

I have an acer aspire 3680 (which im using to type this) they're not bad laptops but that site doesnt look to trustworthy.
Wouldnt go for it personally, its cheaper to use machines that have been out a year allready most that are a year old can be updated to vista (most will run XP still) but XP is cheaper if it doesnt already come pre-loaded.:jThe Money Saving Wannabe :j

Paranoia reigns supreme again, this site is part of Idealworld which one of the biggest shopping channels in the UK so in response to your comment about being trustworthy, yes it is very.0 -

I've just ordered this one from play at £399, much better value:

Also they have one for £369

With 2gb and vista premium, much better systems.Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

This is the same price as on ebuyer (I'm assuming it's an acer extensa 5220...has all the same specs)...so seems about the going rate.
Similarly the £400 one from play is the same price on ebuyer - don't know if it might be cheaper to shop around.
Would suggest, however, that the £300 model would represent better "bang for buck" than the £400 version - there won't be much extra you can do with the machine for your extra £100...
But that's just my opinion...
PS - Just a note on Acer in general - they get some bad press here and there (including, at times, on these forums) - but I have to say I've had mine for over a year now probably and am mighty impressed with it. It's built a little bit worse than Sony or Dell, but the performance seems much better (largely, to be fair, down to the way it's set up on delivery) and I quite like the styling...
