cheap exercise equipment for a diabetic

hi there. My husband has recently been diagnosed with type2 diabetes. As he is only 32 he has been recommended to do lots of exercise to help control it. As gym membership is quite expensive we were hoping to spend around £300 on a decent treadmill so that we can both use it. Please can anyone advise of any good deals out there.Many thanx

I don't wish to sound flippant (honest) but if money is tight, why not just go out for a walk, then over time start walk / jogging, and perhaps spend £30-40 on some weights - there are plenty of exercise programmes online you can both print off and follow.

I pretty much guarantee that after the novelty has worn off, the treadmill will become an expensive clothes horse!!!

I agree, walk, cycle and swim. Plenty of exercise and fresh friut and veg and carefull on the carbs. Pay particular attention to diet and include plenty low GI foods.
