missing cheque!

Hi! Newbie to forum on DMP with Payplan total debts roughly £45,000. MBNA have sold a debt to Link but after I complained about MBNA to their complaints department (refusing to put settlement offers in writing, snotty phone calls, unrealisitic deadlines etc) they agreed that all interest and charges should have been stopped once they received the financial statement from Payplan. Have got a letter in writing stating they are sending a compensatory cheque. Month gone by ~ no cheque. How do I chase this without them demanding their money?

I personally would ring them and ask and just be steely and not be swayed with paying, if they get shirty I usually ask for management. Sometimes telling them the call is being recorded helps.0
