Casino Self Exclusion - Does It Affect Credit Rating?

Hi

Don't know where to post this so putting it here - does anyone know whether completing a Self Exclusion form that stops you getting access to Casinos for at least 6 months will affect credit rating?

I wouldn't think so, but thats just my thought, no knowledge to support it

Any info would be appreciated

I'd doubt it as casinos wouldn't be making any records on your credit files (e.g. with Experian, Equifax, etc.).
  • The best exclusion you could have is not to visit casinos (whether online or not) at all.

I'm not certain of what you mean - is this an industry wide scheme to stop gamblers get into debt (or increased debt?). You could say stop yourself from entering UK casinos but with the Internet being world wide how does it work?

I self excluded myself from most bookmakers and casinos about a year ago, in some cases permanently and since then I've remortgaged once and switched Credit cards twice, so I'd say, nothing for you to worry about. If you have a problem or just feel its taking up too much of your life then I'd heartily recommend it.
