Hi
Ok, so my partner and I are looking to marry in 2010 (I know it's a long way off..) all my family are in Warrington/Manchester. His family are all in Durham. We live in Halifax, so looking for a venue in the yorkshire area.
Does anyone know of any good quality, inexpensive, venues in Huddersfield/Halifax or Leeds?

We got married at this hotel in 2006. http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwestern/productInfo.do
The whole event was held here and it was really excellent and we had a great time, as did all our guests, who all stayed at the hotel. Looked at the hotels (is there any really!) in Halifax and they were very poor0 -
Ooo! Theres a lovely place in huddersfield called Bagden Hall!
Its so beautiful! Im not sure on it money wise but as for location its brilliant!
Remember though if they set you a price always try and get money off it.. Eg if u stay in the hotel over night could you get your parents or brides maids room for free if you pay for the bridal suite etc
You'd be surprised what you can get if you smile heheheI'm getting married in August 2015:j0 -
We are getting married here in May http://www.bridgeinn-bridgehotel.co.uk/
They are doing the whole thing, ceremony, wedding breakfast for 40 and evening do with BBQ for 120 for a total of £2500, and there were cheaper options than the ones we have picked.
The Byron room is beautiful and I would recommend you have a look in person. this is where the ceremony and then wedding breakfast take place and they then have 2 function rooms for the eve receptions. A friend at work got married here last year and he was very pleased with the service etc, they have been great with us every time we have visited or called, very friendly.
Good luck

My sister got married at the Black Horse in Clifton (a village near Brighouse). It was gorgeous. The website is www.blackhorseclifton.co.uk . I'm actually looking for a venue myself for later this year around these areas, but I only have a really small budget, so all of these are out of my price range :-(
Will keep looking though.Debts May 09 [strike]£100 Od[/strike], [strike]£1550 boiler[/strike], [strike]£1750[/strike] £400 credit card  Goal - to 3k of savings by Oct 2009 in time for Baby num 2 :j Total so far £12000 -

It's not actually in Huddersfield, but in Kitchenroyd, between Denby Dale and Scissett on the A636 about 7 or 8 miles south-east of Huddersfield.
