Is it true with ppis you are now legally able to cancel without applying for a whole new loan? I was told by a friend whos sister is a manager at a bank that the FSA has said that ppi's can be cancelled just by notifying the bank in writing and they should take the ppi off supposedly some legislation by the fsa was passed in november does anyone know about this? Because my bank does not seem to be aware of it..

oh btw was told that this law would affect all banking institutions

  • The law was altered to enable banks and customers to amend binding CCA agreements.
It is up to each individual bank whether they give you a new loan or you get to finish your existing one (without the PPI).
