Mmmmm. I think I'd hang on for the next batch of offers. If you are interested in the above you may like to also consider e-value code MMMUK4-D07511A. reduce the warranty to 12 months C&R, then choose the Dell Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Included In Logictech Cordless Desktop and it will come out at £342 all in.

Compared with the one above you will :

* Lose the CRT monitor. I want a TFT anyway so didn't want to pay for something I wouldn't use. And I also think that the Dell Value monitors are very poor (blurry) from what I have seen.
* Lose the CDRW/DVD for a DVD ROM

But you will gain :

* Slightly faster processor - 3Ghz
* More RAM - 512Mb
* 1 year collect and return warranty

Changing the keyboard on the original posters offer should reduce that price too.

I plan to add an NEC DVD-RW for about £30 to this system when I get it...and am looking for a good monitor.

However - why I don't think either of these are particularly good is that I ordered this system for £214 last week (with the £70 off when bought with a laptop to total over £649 offer)... and even after that offer finished it was £284.

I had a Dell E773P value monitor with a Dimension 3000 I bought a few months ago. To be honest the quality was terrible - the middle of the screen was fine but in the corners it had diamond check grid patterns that could not be got rid of no matter what settings you chose, and the screen was also blurry in the corners. At work we have thrown better screens in the skip than this one - so if you go for this deal expect to replace the screen shortly afterwards.
I now have a Dell 17" TFT (the basic 16ms one) and although it has a little shadowing it is pretty good, although the white is a bit bright and the colours slightly washed out. But it seems to be fine for gaming.
