TDK OutLoud CD Wallet with Active Speakers

QD Stores currently have the TDK OutLoud CD Speaker wallets for £4.99 or £2.99. These are slim-line wallets holding either 24 or 12 CDs and have active speakers built into the padded case, two speakers (i.e. stereo) in the larger and one speaker (mono) in the smaller. The Guardian Travel section in Sept'03 described them as 'the best travel speakers I've ever encountered'.
They were then priced at £29.99 and £19.99 respectively.

These are really good. I picked up the stereo ones from Ebay for about £8 a month ago. They are NXT flat panel speakers built into the case and I was very surprised by the sound quality. They even produce some bass and have a very clean crisp treble. Obviously not the sound you get from a set of dedicated speakers but ideal for travelling etc. I'm yet to exhaust a set of batteries in mine and have had them running for a few all day sessions whilst working on the garden.

For that price you definately won't be dissapointed!

I got a couple of sets of these from SVP a while ago. seem pretty good.

I use them with a portable CD player. They could do with a bit more ammplification for my taste, but good none the less.
