I think Kelham Island is closed atm due to flood damage

Sheffield has lots of lovely walks and parks too. Try the Round Walk or visit Endcliffe Park (the cafe there is ace)0 -

Kelham is still shut, but Magna has re-opened, it wasn't as badly affected by the floods. It's actually in Rotherham but it's not far from Meadowhall http://www.visitmagna.co.uk/When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.0

I can recommend the Blue John Caverns in Castleton, or any of the other caverns there... all reasonably cheap too. Then onward from Castleton to Buxton, the Pavillion Gardens often has somthing going on. You could try Chatsworth aswell, the other side of Bakewell. Well worth a visit. Or go to Lyme Park just outside of Hazel Grove nr. Stockport (but that might be too far to travel??)0

If you want a walk around a nice park try Millhouses, Norfolk, or Graves Park
Shopping - Meadowhall obviously, the city centre, Ecclesall Road, Meadowhall Retail Park, Crystal Peaks
Food/drink - the new Leopold square behind the city hall is upmarket and really nice
Free places to look around... Weston Park Museum, the place between the Peace Gardens and central Library on Surrey Street (name escapes me! - Millenium Galleries?)
Sporty - Hillsborough Leisure Centre, Ponds Forge, Ice Sheffield
Leisure Parks - Valley Centertainment near Meadowhall (cinema/bowling etc)
Partying - West St/Division St
Bakewell and Catleton are a short drive away and good for a day out0 -
If you haven't done the free bowling at AMF yet
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=425268&highlight=free+bowling
there's an AMF a couple of miles from the arena
otherwise a walk around the town centre if its a nice day, around the cathedral is nice.[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]
