OK found this on the toysrus website too:-

You can play ps1 games on a ps2 for sure. I also think its possible to get hold of a ps1 emulator for your pc, so you can play ps1 games on that... but I am not sure about that. I'm sure someone here will know?All of this might just be an elaborate simulation running inside a little device, sitting on someone's table.0
