I only joined recently. I was in a bit of a mess financially. But I found this site and this forum and through reading here I have managed to turn things around.
Thanks to the changes I have made I had money left this month, for the first time in a long time. It wasn't much, I admit, but I had lived within my means and it felt so good.
I have never posted a thread here asking for help but wanted you all to know that just reading the advice and encoluragement you have given people here has helped me turn my life around and given me a healthier outlook as far as money is concerned. Thank you all so much.:D

I know what you mean, its nice to control the money, rather that it controlling you. I find it very satisfying and theraputic allocating money to different things and see it all go to plan :beer:0

It does feel good. One of the best thing is sleeping at night instead of doing mental arithmetic and wonder how to juggle committments.GC 2011 Feb £626.89/£450 NSD3/7 March £531.26/£450 April £495.99/£500 NSD 0/7 May £502.79/£500

hi, i remember posting a similar thread to this the first time i lived within my means for years. It's just a feeling of achievement congratulations!
Now you have to set your next goals but you'll get there.0 -
It is a feeling of achievement.
I was actually amazed at the amount I saved by cutting out the lattes and croissants on the wat to work and taking my own lunch in to work. I now know where all my money is going and not going. I need a new oven and I plan to buy it in May with my own money, not slap it on a credit card. That is my next goal.GC 2011 Feb £626.89/£450 NSD3/7 March £531.26/£450 April £495.99/£500 NSD 0/7 May £502.79/£500
