  • Has anyone had any experience of virgin PAYG. Is this offer better than the O2 PAYG (300 free texts)?

  • Please could someone explain why I would want a new sim for my phone. I'm with Virgin on PAYG, but I try not to use my phone much at all because it's so expensive to make calls, and I don't get any free texts.

No, not at all. Virgin are a good company in terms of customer service but they don't offer free texts as such. They offer a package where you pay a fee for a certain number of 'free' texts.

If you are already using an 02 free text SIM, I personally can't see any reason to change over.

There calls to landlines are not expensive 15p/5p.If you want to make cross network calls they charge 15p a min to phone 0871 numbers,so by using an access no like( 0871 174227 ) you can make cross network calls for 15p.There voicemail is free.Texts to other virgin users are only 3p.

Who is cheaper without having to put a monthly credit in?

Surely it depends on how much you use your phone.Virgin would appear to be better for a light/occassional user as the credit dont run out.
