Thames Credit Field Agents in Northern Ireland

I was phoned up last night by Thames Credit. They told me if I didn't pay immediately a "team of field agents" would arrive at my house within the week. Anyone else in the forum who live in Northern Ireland deal with this team or even a single field agent before and have any advice. I don't know what to expect or whether to clear off for a few months. I'd appreciate advice from anyone who has dealt face to face with their debt collectors.

Also generally does anyone have any advice on how to deal with Debt Collectors when they come knocking on your front door looking for £2000 you don't have.

This is a simple one - don't answer the door, they have no rights whatsoever!

Thames Credit are notoriously poor - have you acknowledged the debt is yours or have you written to them asking for a copy of the CCA?
