Applying to police for admin job and disclosing poor credit history

Hello
Can anyone please help? I am applying for a part time admin job within the police through a temping agency and they want me to tell them if I have ever had any CCJs and the form says that they do an enhanced background check. I've completed the form honestly, saying yes I have an existing CCJ which I have maintained regular monthly payments for a number of years, but I'm wondering now whether it is even worth my while applying.
Can anyone please advise if they have had any experience of this? Where I currently work, I have for the last 5 years taken payments via debit/credit cards over the phone and previously been responsible for petty cash. I am an honest person and I'm worried that my poor money management in the past will stop me from getting a part time job which will help me financially.
I'd be really grateful for any advice.
Thanks

What would you attempt to do if you knew you wouldn't fail?

i think u wont get the job based on the CCJ. some places are funny with them and see them and instantly 'sin bin' them. id suggest u keep making the agency look for u rather than ploughing all ur efforts into this 1 for them to reject based on the CCJ.*~* Valued Opinions - £40; Quidco - £92.77; Lightspeed Panel - £40; My Survey - £20; Consumer Pulse - £190; Toluna - £44; Ciao - £42.47; GfK - £50; Pigsback - £20; ABAi - £10; Panelbase - £10.45 ; Grassroots - £50 *~* Blue Text = Account now closed
