Good point. PM requesters could also be collecting email addresses for other purposes. I still have a few gmail invites left, so If you PM me with a request (Just say 'I would like a gmail invite) and I can PM you back with a signup link.
People with spare invites can do this by sending invites to themselves, and copying the URL from the invites they get. Then just reply to PM requests with the pasted URL. So no need for email addresses to be exchanged.
