How Much Is An Affidavit?

My daughter is getting married in Cyprus, they have to have an affidavit to take with them to prove they are both free to marry. Is anyone able to tell me how much this is likely to cost please?

Many thanks

Best to ring around a few local solicitors and ask them how much they charge.

No it is a fixed charge. £5 for the affidavit plus £2 for any exhibits. Solicitors cannot charge more than this.

You don't need an appointment - just ask the reception if they can do "a swear". Usually a junior lawyer rocks up and it is done in seconds.
