received MFI vouchers in the post. they do not have anyones name on or even clubcard number but, when i received them, it did say on the back that there is a limit of 15 tokens per transaction.
hi the reason i said that there was no limit is because after we had saw a listing in ebay that said there was a limit we sent an email to MFI. They said there was no limit so if needs be i will take in a copy of this instore with me.
This is what i sent to themHello, after looking at the terms and conditions on tesco's website regarding deals tokens, can you please clarify for me the following, 'deals tokens cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer' therefore if you have a kitchen which is currently half price, can i pay for it using deals tokens? and furthermore how much deals tokens can i use in any single transcation? Thanks for your help.
this is what i recieved backGood Morning. Thank you, for your e-mail. You can use the tokens against any item, regardless of it being in the sale or any other offer it may be involved in. there is no minimum/maximum amount of vouchers you can use.A banker is someone who lends you an umbrella when the sun is shining, and who asks for it back when it start to rain.0 -

We bought a kitchen 17 years ago, and about 8 years ago we moved the whole room around, but the units still look fine, although perhaps a little old fashioned now. I was thinking of saving my vouchers for the next years or so, to buy new units. Would it be possible to buy the units in 2 transactions?
My parents used to buy MFI furniture in the 70s and 80s because it was affordable. It wasn't good though. It's bad reputation was well deserved and units (bookcases, TV cabinets etc) were prone to falling apart if moved.
Their kitchen units (Hygena/Shreiber 1980s onwards) were much better though. My parents have Hygena kitchen units from the mid 80s. In the early 90s they extended their kitchen and reused the existing units fitting new doors on to match the new units for the extension. All are still in as-new condition now!
Our existing kitchen is a 1980s Hygena and was in perfect condition until about 4 years ago when we had a leak which damaged them. We have also overloaded all the cabinets which hasn't helped.
Their current units are better than the 80s ones - they are using thicker chipboards for the outer carcasses and the shelves.
I have bought storage units, a wardrobe and stufy furniture from them in the last few years - all excellent.
Some people are not so luck though and with kitchens etc, they are prone to sending out incorrect parts meaning more trips back to the store.0 -

I'm asking because that effectively means the most you can actually save is £1500 which is only £375 of Tesco vouchers and I've got nearly 5 times that amount.
For something like a new kitchen I wonder if they'd split the sale into multiple transactions so I can use additional deals vouchers.
hiya wolvoman!
Wow- you've really been saving your clubcard points! Any tips to boost mine!
Right then, 15 tokens limit...... I bought a bed with clubcard tokens. When they arrived there was an A4 sheet with them quoting MFI terms and conditions which is where I saw the maximum of 15 tokens limit.
To buy my bed, I had a total of 5 tokens ( 3x100 + 2x£10) . When I was actually going through the process of paying, I handed over my tokens and they had to input onto their computer screen:- the number of vouchers I had; the serial number of each voucher and the value of each voucher.
Going by how much room he had on the screen, I reckon there was only room for 15 vouchers which could be a reason for their limit. I also remember something about not being able to use tokens as part payment but I cant remember!
There is something else that I found out which might help you! I'd sent my clubcard vouchers off and was waiting for the deals tokens to come back. There was a sale on ("like there usually is!") and I was worried that the sale would finish before my deals tokens came back so I phoned my local MFI to ask what to do because I really wanted to buy a bed but hadnt had the tokens yet.
They told me that it would be okay, to come down, buy the bed with my visa card ( had to be a card and not cash) and then when the tokens arrived, they'd refund my card and use my tokens. This might help you if they can only take 15 tokens. Use 15 tokens to buy your kitchen....put the rest on your card but then they should be able refund your card when you hand over the rest of your tokens.
The best thing to do is probably check with them first. My MFI were quite accommodating because at the end of the day its a sale to them! If you make out that you might go elsewhere because you could easily sell your vouchers they will probably do what they can to help!
Good luck!

I used vouchers to buy a whole San Remo dining room suite and 4 king sized beds and some living room pieces. I paid the majority in tokens and a small amount on my card. There was no problem splitting the bill.
I did have problems where a bed and a side table were returned. They were replaced and there was no cash to be returned. So if you do have a faulty product, as long as you want a replacement you should be okay. The dining table had a scratch in the wood when I opened it. I phoned customer services, they said that if I was willing to put up with it they would credit my card £40. I said I would wait until I assembled it, to see where it was. The scratch was underneath, so you couldn't see it, but I asked if they could give any more, and she offered £50, which I accepted. To win a competition gives you the spirit to carry on (Comping).0 -
Just wondering.....if you buy on your credit card (going back to change to Deal Tokens later on) do you still earn 1 point per £1 you spend???0

Yes...you give your clubcard number and the points are added to your account two weeks after delivery of your order0 -
Typical me, after searching the forums for MFI and TESCO found not much. Stuck in google and came back here
So whats the conclusion. Does this mean I can't buy a £2000 kitchen for £800. And where is this SMALL print ? Can't see it on any website0 -
What is to stop you ordering the kitchen in say four lots? If you know what you want can you not order a quarter of it one day etc etc, I know its faffing about but they will all be seperate transactions so you would be able to use up to 15 vouchers for each one?
I'm interested in this thread as I want to move and have seen a good schrieber kitchen I can't afford for my next house!! So the tesco deals are probably the only way i can do it!0 -
Incidentaly don't the MFI tesco vouchers have time limits on - my MIL got some and then she mentioned having to use them before the date ran out?0

Somebody on Shop But Don't Drop had mentioned that MFI have now introduced a new rule that the spend must be at least £250 before you are able to use vouchers.
I will try and find the post. *edit: Details HERE0
