Both, my wife and I have been dealing with the CCCS since Oct2006. At first our creditors (total sum of £18,000 - outstanding) - were really helpful and obliging. However, recently they are adding on alot of charges and fees, which has virtually added back on, all of the money that I had paid of in the last 15 months. We rent our property, and we keep wondering if Bankruptcy would suit us better. We have 2 young children and the situation is ruining what should be the best years of their lives.
There is nothing we'd like more than to pay all of this off, but we seem to be getting no where - is there any way in which interest/charges/fees etc. can all be stopped?
Many thanks.

You poor thing, that must be soul destroying after paying for so long.
I'm really sorry I don't know the answer to your question, but hopefully someone will know & advise you

Have you spoken to CCCS about the fees etc? It may just be that you need a review.0

Hi Will,
I am quite shocked to hear that you have (I am assuming) a Debt Management Plan in place with CCCS and creditors are starting to add interest and charges if you have been keeping up with the agreed payments.
Some creditors will only offer time limited cancellation of charges and fees, but most are satisfied as long as they get regularly updated information from a recognised Debt Management Agency and the payments are kept up.
Do you know which ones have started charging again? What are CCS doing about this? Have you tried to contact them direct?
Do let us know, there is a wealth of experience here, so we will try to help.

It's not the CCCS that have started adding charges, it's the creditors that the CCCS are dealing with that are doing this.The_shuffs wrote: »Hi Will, am shocked to hear that the cccs have started to add extra chargesDonedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000.
