  • thanks for replying merlot, yes in some ways i am luckier than others on here as i can do quite a lot of trimming, but 40 grand un secured still hurts. Like the quote about champagne lifestyle very true, not making excuses but banks make it so easy to do it.
  • Hi all
Went to the Halifax yesterday to say we are in a bit of trouble and needed a month or so to get on our feet. They said they couldn't help us because we've never missed a payment and all they could offer me was another loan  so i said ok i would take a loan to clear the c/c then cut it up. They declined me. Why? I was clearing one of their debts of straight away, wonder if its the 17% interest on the c/c that i'm paying:mad: . On the up side, sky is gone to minimum with their free broadband and phone, only 1 line a week on lottery and a £50 month clothes budget for us.
