Listerine vouchers - Tesco not accepting?

I've got two vouchers for 50p off yellow Listerine that came with a sample a while ago. Yesterday, I finally got round to using one, but the Tesco till bleeped and didn't accept it. I didn't check to see if they stock it, but I assumed they would.

Has anyone else had problems with these vouchers? Would Asda take them? Don't really want to throw out a £1...

Thanks.

I tried to use them in Tesco too... no joy. The cashier said she had never seen the new brand come through the till. Our new tesco is MASSIVE .. I would have thought they would stock it...as it is massive I could net be bothered to check it out but I will next week!
I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes ;)

I used my voucher in Asda. Although my store only take coupons when you buy the product i had a large shop and did buy a (cheapie) mouthwash so she didnt notice and scanned thru no problem :)

Rejected coupon at Tesco several times even though they do stock this. Asda -- no problem even when not purchasing the product.
  • No problem at my ASDA- didn't even buy the product. Having said that, those trial sizes are ideal for keeping in a washbag.
...and then the window licker said to me...
  • I managed to use the voucher in Chesterfield Tescos on saturday, although the scanner rejected the voucher, the cashier said that she could put the voucher through manually as another type of voucher so I got the 50p off at Tesco. I'm sure that they stock Listerine anyway.

My Tesco won't accept it as it won't scan. Until recently they wouldn't scan at Ada either, but they went through this week, even though I didn't buy the product.

Having said that, the expiry date isn't till Dec (I think) so I wouldn't throw them out just yet.

Thanks everyone. It seems that Tesco tills are just a bit funny about this particular voucher, just as they were about the King of Shaves ones a while ago. Glad to hear Asda will take them, though!

I was just surprised as it's very rare for any of my vouchers not to go through at Tesco. The only other one I had problems with was a soya one (SoGood, I think) that came from this board. Tesco tills didn't like it at all, but I finally managed to spend it in Asda.
