Decanted - Tax Query

in Cutting tax
I am about to be decanted so the council can rebuild the flat I live in. But this move has provoked arguments amongst the tenants association. Our council owned accomodation being rebuilt means we have to live elsewhere for a few months which is very inconvenient. Now:
What are we entitled to in terms of money?
Are we entitled to have our council taxed lowered or waived for the duration that the flats are being rebuilt?
Is there anything useful to know that could be used to help us out? The council are being very greedy and are offering £80s to do the flats up. £80s won't even do up my living room!
Thank you for reading this and please help out.

I would have thought that if you were living in another property during the time you are out of your home, then you would be subject to the usual Council Tax rules.
Is the council paying your moving expenses?
Have they provided the alternative accomodation?
I am a little confused as to the £80....is this to pay for anything done on your temporary accomodation or, for when you get back home?Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0
