Redundancy PILON

i) It is likely that I will get made redundant with immediate effect in the next week. I am owed 10 weeks notice which I have been told I will need to put a claim in for.

If my contract is terminated with immediate effect (not on garden leave) can I find (and start) another job during those 10 weeks and still receive the notice due to me?

ii) Also, I am querying my employment commencement date as I worked a year (16-hours part-time) in the evenings here when I started. The starting date the company have is when i started full-time. This would give me an extra 0.5 weeks redundancy (as i was only 16) and another weeks notice. The company aren't disputing this but say they aren't willing to change it whilst the administrators are here. How do I pursue this?

Thanks

Michael
