You can update the firmware for the player downloaded from Philips themselves or you can get a more interesting version from here http://www.madpalace.nl/dvp720sa.html with a whole load of instructions about what to do.
I did mine yesterday and have no bugs/problems to report.Coop0 -

38 left, and going quite quickly but perhaps not a bargain to everyone.
Excellent choice if you have component inputs on your TV, or are likely to be upgrading to a new TV at some point.
This model cost £150 not too long ago. It has had excellent reviews. Such as below. Received 5 stars.

I think the P&p was free in error before, and that they then corrected it.

They had 8 left as of 7pm last night, so I bit the bullet and bought one of them (and paid the £6 postage :-( )0

I've had this beauty for almost a year now and paid £110 from Amazon. Amazon also have instructions to turn it into multi-region with a few buttons on the remote.
You can burn blank DVD Romss on the PC quite easily (most media online is compressed in DivX format, or variation of) and play them on the machine.
The only complaint is that when you use the zoom it has a permanent display icon, but the zoom function isn't something I use often, or at all.0
