  • Just managed to order one from Play.com, no buy button but if you go through the link kazaimee has put up it automatically adds it to your basket for you! Says in stock, will let you know if/when it comes!

    Well i took the plunge early last night and ordered one anyway, my status says "Order Placed" and the email confirmation reads

    "This email is only an acknowledgement of receipt of your order which has been passed to our dispatch department to be processed."

    Do they always say this when you buy something from Play? Seems a bit odd to me however it does say that when status is at "Order Placed" that you can "Before we start to process your payment you may cancel your order without penalty." so if it doesn't change within a few days i think i may cancel it!

    This is the usual email wording when you order something from Play.

    I also placed an order through the Wii Consoles link and status is 'order placed' when I check the order details online.

    Someone mentioned they'd had one from a previous thread using the same bug. Which is entirely possible, but all anyone who uses the HotDeal link is really doing is putting in a pre-order. Play UK will presumably have the choice of either letting the orders stand until stock does arrive, or just cancelling them all. Where I work, the supply of these is so short that we're not taking pre-orders.
