I'm getting seriously hacked off with Woolworths.

Ordered last Friday. Sold on a delivery date of today 08th. Called yesterday and was told that it would be despatched yesterday or today.

Today order is still 'Ready For Despatch' so I call them to be told that it will now be delivered on Monday 14th!!!

I didn't get a text or mail to explain the delay so I used the on-line query only to be told that "it's in high demand" and that they cannot guarantee delivery dates.

So I call again only to get the same "it's in high demand" speech and that it will "Definitely be delivered on Monday" BUT "we cannot guarantee delivery dates"

So...

1. I know it's in 'high demand', that's why I ordered it!
2. If you cannot guarantee delivery dates, why tel me that it's going to be delivered on a certain date?

If I can get one elsewhere, I'll be cancelling my order and Woolworths can stick their business, for good!

Oh yeah, I forgot to add, they debited my account straight away, too...

Yep so does mine so I called them and said that it was in stock when I ordered and I had a confirmation email but I was told that they are dispatched in order of people being charged and there are people who have been waiting over a week so I am now in the queue to have mine dispatched!

I asked when my dispatch date would be and I was told that there was no way of knowing and I would just have to wait. I asked why it said in stock on their website and the guy said it shouldnt have done!

I have cancelled my order now !!

I'm hoping against all hope that my order will still go through; it's showing up as "PACKING":

What does ‘Packing’ mean?

• Payment for your order has been successfully processed.
• Your order is now being prepared for dispatch.

Thing is, I can't check my status till half 8 tomorrow when I come into work - so if they'll have cancelled it it'll be a really bad start to my day!! =(

Note: Last Friday my girlfriend was in Tesco's and asked at the Customer Services desk - they said they were out of stock. She looked down the Games aisle but there wasn't even a label there. Then she saw a woman at the Electrical Desk counter (our Tesco's here is huge) and asked her, and the woman said nothing showed up on the computer. My girlfriend asked again, and the woman said she'd check in stock - and showed up with one! Apparently they got a delivery of two on Friday night - they're getting staggered deliveries.

It's probably not the same everywhere; but I've been searching the high street vehemently now, and these are the details I have for stores (not online!!) in Dundee, for whoever's interested. I've been phoning like crazy:

Tesco's Kingsway: Delivery everyday between 6 - 8pm, phone round then to check stock.

Curry's: Delivery on Wednesday (I think.)

Gamestation: Delivery on Saturday (last delivery was Sat 10am)

Zavvi: Deliveries on Thursday and Monday (I think..)


Hope that helps! If you live in the surrounding areas it might be worth checking if you can get it delivered to a local store, or you can come down for the weekend, since this is apparently the sunniest city in Scotland.... :P

for anyone in surrey, this morning HMV in the bentall centre had a sign saying they had them in store, went in, first person said he didnt know ask that guy he knows more....went to said guy he said sold old, hubby mentioned the sign and he knew nothing about it so whilst the guy went to check i went to the check out and they had some well she had one behind the till and was asking the girl where the others were kept...anyways so £69.99 in store very happy especially as it told me my age is only plus 2 years although obese lol....centre of gravity is good so £90 a week on a chiropractor must be working lol

it looks like sevel argos stores had stock today just an idea they may have stock tomorrow after close for the reservations that were not collected.
