so my console is uk spec, bought from the high street and wii fit is bought from amazon germany, therefor when i plug in and play the wii fit it will convert to uk languages etc without any messing about with settings from me?

    thanks :T

Not quite, assuming there is an English language setting on the game it will select that for you. IT WILL NOT translate it if there is no English track.

Usually Nintendo games are coded with different languages, most of the time EU ones have 5 languages (although my new Lego indiana jones offered me the choice of English and Danish only), so it's something to check if you buy something thats not UK spec.

Look at the cover of any Wii Game, there is a green triangle at the bottom that indicates the languages on the disk. I'm sure some googling will uncover the entire list of it but diffent colours differnet lanaguages, so Green is 5 in one, Red is French only, Orange is French and Dutch, Light Pink triangle is English and Dutch, etc etc..

i think the colour of the triangle means where the game is for, not the languages.

my wii fit from amazon.de has a dark blue triangle but the game has the 5 in 1 logo on it for english, french, german, spanish and italian.

    go to www.amazon.de
enter "wii fit" into the search box and hit return
choose "Wii Fit (inkl. Wii Balance Board)" from the results
click the yellow "in den einkaufwagan" to add it to your basket
click "zur kasse gehen" to start the checkout procedure
enter your normal amazon user name and password (making sure "Ich bin bereits Kunde und mein Passwort ist" is selected)
then it's pretty much the standard amazon checkout (select the address for delivery, click the card for payment, click the yellow 'next' button, check the price and then click "bestellung abschicken")

Currently looking at about £76 using a Nationwide credit card and delivery is expected between the 21st June and 5 July

Similar procedure for www.amazon.fr (but the text will be in French obviously :) )
after following the above steps (thanks by the way)
how do you fine out if its been dispatched
people have mentioned on here about conformation emails
and the fact that you are given a date, yet you appear to get it a lot sooner

any advice very welcome, the wife (and daughter) is on for a nice surprise when it arrives

If you go back to amazon.de and select Mein Konto (on the blue bar at the top, right hand side above the shopping trolly. Next select Artikel oder bestellungen loschen which is the 1st link, this will bring up Offen bestellungen which is ''open orders''. Select Bestellung ansehen oder andern (right hand side) and this will bring up the order. Then Voraussichtliches Versanddatum is the despatch date and Lieferung voraussichtlich is the delivery date.

Now last time when I got mine in a week I did get an email saying was dispatched unfortunatley this time for my bros even though said in stock when ordered now saying Despatch date 25th July

good luck with finding your dispatch date - my bro aint gonna be happy, i told him a week so he promised his GF a huge treat in a week if he got the weekend with the lad down the pub :rotfl:whoops :rotfl:
