I applied for a job as a community carer a few weeks ago but heard nothing back so assumed i didn't make the short list of an interview, however i was wrong and they phoned me on Monday asking me to come Thursday ( today) and i am being physically sick with nerves.
I can see both the pros and cons of working. I am at home all day with the kids and my dh goes to work and comes home again at 6. I will be leaving the house at 6.30pm. We don't really need the money, a little extra would be nice but we are managing ok at the minute.
Will my tax credits be affected largely?
I think it is the interview which is putting me off as i have never had to do one, do you think it will be one person or several?
What kind of thing can i expect to be doing IF i get the job?
What would you do?

I would like to be able to admire a man’s opinions as I would his dog - without being expected to take it home with me."

I would go and just do your best.. x
If you arn't sure whether you need the job or not then you have nothing to lose. If you get the job then you and OH can sit down and work out whether you want to accept, and if you don't get the job then call it fate and carry on with your life how you want to.
If you didn't want the job you wouldn't have applied x so I think you should definately go..
At the very least you will get some interview experience for the future.
