yeah, ive heard about EMMA
tbh, my home although quite big is pretty warm. I'm sat here in a T-shirt with no heating on.
i put gas on 1 hour in the morning and couple of hours at night, and its fine.
i suppose it helps im a northern lad, living down souf
im with npower, and they were quite amazed when i gave meter readings for the size of my home hehe
i got the solar panels cos i luckily had the money in the bank, and its obviously a much better return. the extra free electric is something im learning and enjoying, and it can only get better in years to come.0 -
We got 121 in December, Nth Lincs, and as I've said before we get a fair bit of shading from a poplar tree (luckily in afternoon) & just realised from some other trees in a nearer garden.0

new high today
13.6kWh :j0 -
We had our 3.96kwp installed October 2010 and today the SB3300 inverter passed the 5 Megawatt mark (5000kwh)
The generation meter is now some 50kwh behind the figure shown on the inverter which I guess is down to cable losses 1%.
Oh and today the system produced 11.5kwh and this at sunny but chilly Skegness :eek:0 -

new high today
14.9kWh :j0 -
It's the angle of your panels that's making the difference Don, 49°
Mines at Slope 35° and although a similar sized system we finished up at 11.85kwh today.
You may be disappointed when the sun gets higher0 -

according to http://re.jrc.ec.europa.eu/pvgis/apps4/pvest.php:
the pitch of the roof makes little difference overall for the year, well within 30-50 degrees that i worked out (see post 146)
but yeah your right, I'll do better in winter than summer relatively. but thats good anyway
the optimum angle for my Latitude is 42 degrees, for full year production.0 -
@ mysterons
you said you had your system installed in Oct 2010?
are you able to post your annual "income" broken down to Generation tariff, Export tariff and energy bill savings?
same for anyone else who is able to
would be interesting to see how real life is comparing to estimates, either SAP or PVGIS.0
