On DMP, getting married, new name and credit rating!

Hi,
My other half is about to start a DMP with CCCS under her current name.
We have 1 joint current account and 1 joint savings account
We are getting married later this year and she will at that point take my surname.
Her credit rating will be ruined as a result of the DMP but that is under her old name.
If we apply for a joint mortgage in her new name will there be a record of her DMP or will that be under her old surname?
Since I am now financially linked to her current name will I still be once she gets married? Can we then change her name on the joint account and savings account and ask the credit report agencies to remove the financial link to her old name?
Loads of questions, but what I am trying to get to his for all the bad credit rating to be under her old name and not linked to me in any way....and for her new surname (mine) to be a clean record and a new start. My credit rating is reasonably good.
Does anyone have any answers on this?

I dont think that a change of name makes your credit file disappear. I would assume it would follow her even after her name change.0

As soon as you notify creditors of change of name some of them will put a link on your credit file to show up the link

I changed my name and address and where I told the mobile phone company (contract) and my current account, they updated my credit file to show I was linked to my maiden name at previous address.
Don't think you can escape it that way.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
The change of surname will create an "Alias" on her Credit Reference Files linking the data recorded under her old name to the new.
From Experian:Aliases
An alias is any other name you are, or have been, known by. Any financial information in these other names is shown on your report. We get the information we have about your other names from you, from the information lenders provide, or from public records. We keep a record of where the information came from.
Where a financial link previously existed (like a joint account that is no longer joint) you can ask for a "Notice of Disassociation" to be placed on your files.

Its actually the opposite really if you apply for a mortgage in joint names chances are you will be classed as sub prime despite your good credit history. That happened to my husband 4 years ago and currently companies are even more reluctant.
Like others have said credit history will just have another name there and all records for past 6 years will be on that names as well as maiden names.0
