I'm on sick leave at the moment and have been for around 11 weeks. I will probably get another sick note for 8 weeks or 12 weeks. Company have asked for a conference to discuss whether I can see myself going back. I'm off with stress and depression. What are they going to discuss - will it be a compromise agreement to offer me redundancy or what?? What else can they discuss? Has anybody been in the same situation, I don't know what to expect or what to ask for or anything.

They most likely want to know where they stand because they can't employ someone fulltime whilst they don't know if you'll be back and may be paying agency cover.0

Conor's right - the employer has to know what is happening in order that they can plan around it. That might be whether they can do anything to help you back to work, or if you have any idea on length of absence, what they have to do with your workload. If you are being paid company sick pay then they might want to let you know where you stand as regards company policy on sick pay - ie it runs out in three months or whatever.
Unless the job is redundant then they won't be talking about that.
It really shouldn't be anything to worry about and it's normal practice. In fact, I'd go further and say it's good practice to keep in touch with absent employees.0
